One of those great stories

Through the career, before starting it and when you are through it you get to find really interesting people with amazing stories of their lifes and their careers. Today I tell you one of those great stories: it's of a friend I met from Flickr and his name is Marc. It all started with a comment of him in one of my photos I believe, and he emailed me to ask something about my career. When I saw his facebook I was amazed by his photos of a Metroliner, an airplane which is so special for me because I flew on it a lot when I was a kid and it was my dream to fly it one day thing that up to date I haven't been able to do.

Marc studied aviation in a very well named school of the United States. When he finished, many of his friends were getting jobs in regional jets, and he knew that he would "kick" himself (as he says) if he wouldn't fly the Metro. And that's what I call the pursuit of a dream.

He rejected trying to fly a jet, as many of us want when finishing school. He looked for a Metro. And guess what? He is now flying a Metro. He went all the way up to Alaska and I can hardly imagine how crazy the winter can be in there. He is living his dream. He is flying the Metro. He is getting the pilotage and flying skills that many of us or his schoolmates would hardly get by flying with a nice autopilot and morover.

Marc is not only a copilot of the Metro. He also teaches systems, training of cockpit procedures and preparation for going to the simulator program of the Metro. Personally I find that great and so interesting for him.

He now has a new project. I wish him the best and I'm so sure he will make it. As he is making his own great story any of us should also look to do our own. Life is for dreaming, for acheiving, for trying to get into new heights. I just may say: Keep walking. Keep dreaming. And as another slogan of that great whiskey says: take the first step.

See you soon, thanks for coming!

What a great story. Good for Marc not giving up on his dream.

Never give up on your dreams! What a great story. May you also have the opportunity to fulfil your own dreams.
